The above parties today filed an application with the Director General of the Science and Technology Agency to modify their application for overland vehicle transportation of Phase IV returned vitrified waste filed on 14 July 1998.

The primary modification relates to the following:

1. Approximate Date of Shipment
The ship carrying the Phase IV returned vitrified waste is now scheduled to depart France in February 1999 and arrive in Japan in April 1999. The schedule for overland transport will be adjusted accordingly.
