Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited

JNFL received approval from the Director General of the Science and Technology Agency today regarding an application to modify reprocessing facility design and construction that was filed on April 21 1998. Primary modifications relate to the following:

(1) Modifications to the name and form of the rooms in the Low Active Liquid Waste Treatment Building made necessary by low active liquid waste treatment system integration.

(2) Modifications to the size and location of doors and walls in the Uranium Denitration Building, Uranium-Plutonium Co-Denitration Building, Uranium Oxide Storage Building, Uranium-Plutonium Mixed Oxide Storage Building and Control Building.
