The final phase of the ongoing intake of Low-level Radioactive Waste form Fukushima-1 nuclear power station, operated by Tokyo Electric Company in Fukushima prefecture, was completed today. Overland transport vehicles loaded with LLW began leaving Mutsu-Ogawara port at 9:51. The first vehicle arrived at the centre at 10:08, and the last vehicle was unloaded at 15:54. Intake of the LLW to the centre was officially completed at 15:59. The total number of the containers received today was 114 containers(912 drums), for an aggregate total of 366 containers(2928 drums). |
