The above parties received a confirmation certificate from the Director General of the Science and Technology Agency today regarding an application to confirm overland vehicle transportation of Phase III returned vitrified waste filed on 2 October 1997 (modified on January 7 1998). |

In order to receive the confirmation certificate, inspection and measurement of the transport casks were conducted in France to confirm the safty of the casks. The results confirmed that the transport casks met standards for all applicable criteria. |
