The above parties today filed an application with the Director General of the Science and Technology Agency to modify their application for overland vehicle transportation of Phase III returned vitrified waste filed on 2 October 1997.

The primary modification relates to the following:

1. Approximate Date of Shipment
The ship carrying the Phase III returned vitrified waste is now scheduled to depart France in January 1998 and arrive in Japan in March 1998. The schedule for overland transport will be adjusted accordingly.
