JNFL announced that the second transport cask used in the transport of Phase II returned vitrified waste will be removed from the Vitrified Waste Storage Centre, to be returned to COGEMA in France on October 21. The cask will be removed from the centre on the morning of October 21, and loaded onto a ship at approximately 13:30 the same day. The transport ship will leave the port at approximately 16:00. The first transport cask was returned to COGEMA on July 11 1997. |
