Press Release Concerning JNFL Executive Personnel Changes

Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited

JNFL announced that the following executive personnel changes will submitted for approval at the stockholders' general meeting to be held on 30 June.
I. Directors
To replace outgoing directors whose term will expire by the next stockholders' general meeting, JNFL will move to appoint the following four persons.

    Standing Director Nominees

    Toshio Inomata Standing Auditor, Tokyo Electric Power Company
    Mitsuo Suzuki Senior General Manager, Research & Development Planning Department, Chubu Electric Power Company
    Norio Higuchi General Manager, Engineering Department, Hokkaido Electric Power Company

    Part-Time Director Nominees

    Michisada Kamata Executive Vice-President, Kyushu Electric Power Company

    Outgoing Directors

    Yuta Suzuki Senior Managing Director
    Toshiharu Tadeuchi Managing Director
    Hiroshi Oyamada Director
    Shigeru Ohno Director (part-time)
II. Standing Corporate Auditors
JNFL will also move to appoint replacements for outgoing auditor Toshiya Tongu, and for Jouichi Aoi, a standing auditor who passed away on 28 December 1996. In addition, JNFL will move to reappoint four auditors whose terms of office will expire by the next stockholders' general meeting.
