| JNFL started on January 7 inspecting all of
the pools, including water conduits and pits in the spent fuel receiving/storage
facility based on earlier reported "Results of Investigation of
Water Leakage in the PWR Fuel Storage Pool and Remedial Measures to
be Taken."
As for the main reprocessing facility, JNFL also started on February
3 inspecting all of the parts contacted with water in the storage tanks
that have the same lining structure as that of the PWR fuel storage
pool based on the results of the preliminary investigations carried
out to date.
JNFL has compiled the status of inspections carried out to date
on the pools and the status of preliminary investigations of the main
reprocessing facility into the report attached hereto.

All company officials, including the president, have expressed
their decision to use their own initiative and give a good example of
carrying out duties assigned to employees. Under their own initiative,
JNFL's officials lead by the example in carrying out their routines,
of course, making efforts to prevent emergencies from taking place from
a risk management point of view, and taking quick and positive measures
to cope with accidents, etc. Moreover, they strictly discipline themselves,
keeping in mind the confidence of society in JNFL as well as in the
nuclear fuel cycle operations, and remain steadfast in the attitude
to clarify their responsibility.
