Results of Reinvestigation of Area of Leakage in PWR Fuel Storage Pool of Spent Fuel Receiving/Storage Facility and Plan to Investigate the Cause

JNFL started on October 2 the reinvestigation of the suspected area of leakage in the weld line of the western lining in the northern walls of the PWR fuel storage pool, and completed a series of penetrant inspection, vacuum foaming inspection, etc., by October 21.  As a result of the investigation, one area of penetrating leakage was found in the weld line at the bottom of the pool. As the surface nearby the leakage was ground, three more areas of penetrating leakage were identified.
