JNFL Announces Filling of Application for Reprocessing Facility Design and Construction Modifications (Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage Building)

JNFL announced that it today filed an application with the Director General of the Science and Technology Agency concerning modifications to the design and construction of its Rokkasho-Mura reprocessing facility ((Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage Building).

Primary modifications relate to the following: 1) Construction of the Spent Fuel Cask Maintenance Facility 2) Improvements to the Spent Fuel Handling Machine (for PWR Fuel) 3) Improvements to Low Active Liquid Waste Treatment Equipment
