Press Release Concerning Completion of Rokkasho Reprocessing Plant Office Building Construction

JNFL is pleased to announce that construction of a new office building at the Rokkasho Reprocessing Plant will be completed on 30 November. With the exception of the Reprocessing Office, all JNFL departments will move to the new office building. Operations at the new location will begin on 29 November. Outline of the Office Building at the Rokkasho Reprocessing Plant

1. Location 4-108 Aza Okitsuke, Obuchi-oaza Rokkasho-Mura, Kamikita-Gun (within the site of the Reprocessing Office) 2. Type Reinforced-concrete building with 8 stories above ground and 1 below. 3. Construction Period From 20 March 1998 to 30 November 1999 4. Transferred Departments Rokkasho Administration (38 staff members) General Affairs Department (230 staff members) 5. Start of Operation 29 November 1999 6. Attached facility Emergency Response Room (located at the B1 level)
