Press Release Concerning Shipment of Spent Fuel to the Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage Building for Adjustment of Inspection Equipment

The above parties announced that the most recent shipment of spent fuel to JNFL's Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage was completed today.

The transport ship, Rokuei-maru, loaded with 2 casks of spent fuel samples, left the private port of Ikata Nuclear Power Station operated by Shikoku Electric Power Company at 8:30 in the morning of August 30 and arrived at the port of Mutsu-Ogawara at 8:15 in the morning today. Unloading of the casks began at 11:15, and ended at 12:12. Overland transport of the casks began at 13:45 and was officially completed at 14:41.

The shipment consisted of 28 spent fuel assemblies (approx.11tU) contained in two NFT-14P casks.
