Press Release Concerning the First 1999 Shipment of Enriched Uranium

JNFL today announced that shipment of enriched uranium from the Uranium Enrichment Plant in Rokkasho-Mura has been completed. Approximately 86tons of UF6 (44 cylinders of 30B type) owned by Tohoku Electric Power Company, Tokyo Electric Power Company, Hokuriku Electric Power Company and Chugoku Electric Power Company were transported to JCO CO., LTD., TOKAI PLANT. The shipment was completed at approximately 23:40 on 8 April 1999.
