Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited

JNFL plans to intake a total of 9 spent nuclear fuel casks (7 NFT38B- type casks, 2 NFT32B-type casks) to its Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage Control Building on 1 June.

The casks transported from Precision Components Corporation in the U.S.A will be unloaded from "Enlivener", a charter ship of Hong Kong registry, and transshipped to overland vehicles at the port of Mutsu-Ogawara on July 1 1998. The casks will then be transported to the Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage Control Building. Intake of all 9 casks is expected to take 2 days.
