JNFL today announced that shipment of enriched uranium from the Uranium Enrichment Plant in Rokkasho-Mura has been completed. Approximately 75 tons of UF6 (39 cylinders of 30B type) owned by Hokkido Electric Power Company, Tohoku Electric Power Company, Tokyo Electric Power Company, Chubu Electric Power Company, Kansai Electric Power Company, Chugoku Electric Power Company, Shikoku Electric Power Company and Japan Atomic Power Company were transported to JAPAN NUCLEAR FUEL CONVERSION CO., LTD., TOKAI PLANT and Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd. The shipment was completed at approximately 23:20 on 15 April 1998. |
