Press Release Concerning the First 2000 Shipment of Uranium Hexafluoride

JNFL today announced that shipment of uranium hexafluoride from the Uranium Enrichment Plant in Rokkasho-Mura has been completed. Approximately 86tons of UF6 (44 cylinders of 30B type) owned by Hokkaido Electric Power Company, Tohoku Electric Power Company, Chubu Electric Power Company, Hokuriku Electric Power Company, Kansai Electric Power Company and Kyushu Electric Power Company were transported to Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co., LTd. The shipment was completed at approximately 23:24 today.
