JNFL hereby announces that it has received the certificate of compliance for the Vitrified Waste Storage Center following the 17th periodical inspection which began on May 31, 2013.

Main items examined in the periodical inspection:

1. The operation of emergency devices and interlocking devices
2. The processing capacity of radioactive waste
3. The performance of radiation control facilities
4. Dose equivalent rate and ambient radioactive material concentrations
5. The ability to contain nuclear fuel materials within the prescribed areas
6. Plant performance in other areas
