Application for modification of the license on Vitrified Waste Storage Center was submitted to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry today.

This modification is to enable acceptance and storage of low-level radioactive wastes returned from overseas, which has the same shape as vitrified waste, and also improve the maximum storage capacity for low-level radioactive wastes generated in the Center.
