Conclusion of Agreements to Invest in New AREVA Holding

Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited (JNFL) announces that on March 20, it concluded agreements to invest in New AREVA Holding, which was established by AREVA, a global nuclear supplier. JNFL will make an investment of 250 million euros, a 5% equity stake in New AREVA Holding.

JNFL believes that this investment will contribute not only to strengthening relations with AREVA, a company with superior technology related to reprocessing and MOX fuel fabrication and know-how based on years of safe and stable operation, but also to achieving the successful commencement of commercial operation and safe and stable operation of JNFL’s reprocessing plant and MOX fuel fabrication plant.
